Čupa, the Vessel of Slovene Fishermen, 2006
In the first permanent exhibition Between Nature and Culture (2006), the Slovenski etnografski muzej created a dialogue of a remarkable museum object – čupa Marija and its filmic cultural biography. The film projected on a screen above the marine dugout reveals the exhibit’s story, while the čupa supports the film with its massiveness and appearance.
